YOUTH WORK IRELAND

Comhairle na nÓg is a local youth council for young people 12-18 years of age from across County Meath. The Meath Comhairle na nÓg is made up of youth committees whose membership represent the views and opinions of their peers.

The Comhairle works on a topic chosen by their peers for a period of 2 years. The topic is chosen by roundtable discussion and vote at the AGM. The topic supports the young person’s right to have their voice heard by being involved in the development of local services and policies and to have a voice on the issues that affect them in their area.

Youth Work Ireland Meath co-ordinate the Comhairle na nÓg progammeon behalf of and with the support of Meath County Council Community Department.
