What is a Volunteer?
A volunteer is someone who gives up their time and energy to work towards a course or project which is of interest to them.
Volunteering enables people to learn new skills, to develop and gain practical experience and to develop leadership and team work skills.

Why do we need volunteers?
Volunteers have been the backbone of our organisation since our founding in 1989, and we hope that by providing support volunteers will continue to assist us in developing and strengthening our community.

Volunteering with Youth Work Ireland Meath
If you are interested in volunteering with Youth Work Ireland Meath call into us at St. Mary's Church Grounds, Trimgate St, Navan and have a chat with one of our staff members.
You will be asked to fill in a Volunteer Application form.
All volunteers are required to undergo Garda vetting (Garda vetting is compulsory even if you have received it through another agency). Training such as Volunteer Training and Child Protection Awareness Training are provided to all new volunteers who would like to be a leader in one of our youth clubs or even to a group of volunteers that would like to start up their own new youth club in the Meath area.
